Wil looking impressed with our ghetto bivy spot where we hung out for a few hours until getting up at 1:15am
Making our way up the moraines to the glacier toe just after 4am.
Almost at the toe with Aberdeen's summit poking up on the right.
Wil and Sue starting out on pitch one.
At the top of pitch one, looking down to Darren at the base.

Sue and Darren at the top of pitch two. Ya, it's pretty steep.
Climbing pitch three, looking down to Darren at the top of pitch two.

From the top of pitch three, with Mt. Fairview in the top right.
Wil looking a bit ruffled after topping out the steep toe section, but experiencing 100% enjoyment.
Crossing the flatter mid section of glacier to the final steep wall before the Haddo/Aberdeen col of the ridge.
Serac danger on the right and loose rock on the left with above knee post-holing in between... we went left on the snow, transitioning to the rock for the middle portion of the climb, then moved back into the supportive snow of the gully left of the rock island near the top.
Darren and Sue coming up the mid section of the glacier.
We crossed the covered bergschrund on the left - but fairly quickly as you can see evidence of rockfall.

Looking to Aberdeen from the Haddo summit, with another group just reaching the col.
From the summit of Haddo, a couple of rope teams can be seen coming up below us.
Roped back up, we move up the ridge towards Aberdeen.
Just below the summit block.
A guy from the other group belaying his team up the final bit of ridge to the Aberdeen summit.
Up a the summit of Aberdeen!
Heading down the descent ridge.
Looking down the decent gully.
Looking back up the decent gully and the great 200m snow glissade! Now all that's left is a long walk out via Paradise valley.
