Barry the Baton Comes To Peterhead
What a fantastic time we had with Barry the Baton. Barry arrived in Peterhead in glorious sunshine. We picked up Barry from the Fraserburgh Running Club/Jogscotland near St Fergus at Scotstown Beach and run all way to Collieston harbour near Cruden Bay via Peterhead. As you will see by our photographs our Peterhead Jogscotland Juniors even got in act at Running Track in Peterhead. We ran a competition, and all those who drew Barry the Baton got a chance to take Barry around the Track before we headed off down the coast to Collieston. At lovely Colliestion harbour we handed over the Barry to the Metro Running Club, to celebrate we held a barbecue which jwas ust great!! Thanks to Stu who thought the idea of Barry the Baton up, its a day we never forgot when Barry the Baton came to the Blootoon, and also thanks to Nick Brown who coordinated the passing of the Barry the Baton in our area!!
