New lock in drawer.
Final version of metal plate that lock pulls against, semi-neatly recessed, thanks to a dull chisel.
Semi-neatly cut notch that Steve the L. did with the might Skil Saw. Doesn't show too good, but I put two washers between the lock and the wood to space it out, so as to clear the metal plate.
Shows how I miscalculated and made the lock hole to low. Should have purchased a lock with a longer barrel, then wouldn't have had to notch the drawer at all, and could have locked into wood, instead the metal plate kludge. (which is the word I was trying to think of yesterday morning!)
This one was installed by a locksmith. I thought I could do better.
Hi-Kwality metal plate used by professional locksmith.
Helicopter was flying over for a half hour, very annoying.
Vons whole wheat fig bar. Ummmm, good!
