I had to pull my own sweet shades out of the archive
The ferry on the way to neighboring island of Lombok.
Our morning brews led to poses like this
And this
Our cabana on Gili Trabawhateveritwascalled
There was an unexpected wave breaking out in front. Wahoo!!!
This is the life
I NEED to go back now.
I imagine this makes Brigid say the same thing
Our cabana was really cool. Well, not cool, but nice. HOT especially with the sporatic power and weak fan
We took refuge at a cafe with comfy chairs and giant fans that Alex eyeballed
No cars on the island, only donkey carts
It says WAG apparently
Goofin around at one of the nightly BBQ fish dinners. Fresh with all the fixins.
Aren't we cute?
Dancing, duh.
Now she's dancing. 60 years old and lookin good.
The fresh fish buffet dinners we discovered added to the paradise
Our uneventful mass group snorkeling excursion.
Our first rental car...excessive side to side wobbles prompted a return.
We leave Alex alone for a few minutes and he bought a gooey jello and ice cubes soup thing from this lovely family.
Full speed. Full of energy.
Naked natives.
The poor donkey that hauled our asses to the bus station (pun intended)
Finding their way to your local Supermarket.
Well balanced scenery
Water buffs. Kinda dinosaury though.
Lombok has some drier landscapes although its got it lush pockets too just like the rest of the tropics.
A wave Alex and I surfed privado all morning. Head high and medium mush but fun.
This pic makes me happy.
More naked natives.
This guy is sitting on some piles and he's hanging off the back a good 10 feet or more.
The daily trade.

We took a drive down passed the tourist enclave and found all sorts of hidden beauty.
Our car, I mean minivan, I mean car...
Its shred o'clock
Post surf coconut milk to reenergize.
Monkey Crossing
After an adventurous drive off the beaten path, we squeezed in a sunset session in at a spot called Mawis.
I love this picture too. A mystic haze at the end of the road.
The kiddos
After a few slides, we regrouped and conquered this hill to get to Desert Point.
Desert Point. Epic spot. Not an epic day. It was a two hour drive through some hairy stuff so I went out anyway and got a few private waves while Alex and Brigid napped.
Me and me.
Note the expressions. We're pretty much actors.
The sun is brutal. Seek refuge.
While we got our rental car polished to make the scratches go away, Alex got a spontaneous hair cut. Way to support the local economy...I think it was $1.00
Good as new. I was impressed because we thrashed that car on roadside branches.
Final sunset on Lombok.
Jam session, complete with percussion bottles by Skidmark.

Peace, we out...only 4 hours delayed. Next challenge, line up a 3 day jaunt to G Land in the 4 days remaining in our entire trip. !!! :(
