This was the view from our hotel window in Suceava. This is the St. John the New Monastery. In 1514, Stefan the Great's son, Bogdan III the Blind started building it and then was finished by Stefanita in 1522.
This was the outside of the monastery in Putna. Stefan the Great erected it between 1466 and 1469.
Putna Monastery. The tomb of Stefan the Great is located here. There was also a museum with interesting collections. No pictures were allowed in there. Sorry, you just have to come see it for yourself.

This was a great well. As we drove through villages you could see many wells that people went to for water.
The outside of Sucevita Monastery. It was built between 1581 - 1601.
The outside paintings here at Sucevita were wonderful.
Sucevita houses nuns and here you can see one speaking to some workers around the horse and cart inside the walls within the courtyard.

From our hotel on our third day in Suceava. We woke to snow and had to clean off our van before heading back to Timisoara.
Along our drive back we spotted the ruins of a castle on this hill. Pretty cool. We didn't have time to hike up there.
