24th April, Ushuaia. To celebrate our last night in Ushuaia, we had one last party. Here you see Tom doing a Chilly-Willey, a whiskey shot...through the nose! Maybe this was his trick that made him walk from the equator to the southern tip of South-America...

24th April, Ushuaia. Eventually we ended up doing something vague familiar. 30 minutes later my bus left at 5.30 in northern direction.
26th April, Puerto Madryn. After 36 hours on the bus finally arrived in Pt. Madryn for some marine animal watching. To kill the time before setting of to the peninsula, the closest point to the sea animals, we explored the surroundings of Puerto Madryn.

27th April, Puerto Madryn. Our road trip. For 10 euro pp a car for a whole day. That means we could do what we want, when we want it. Although the animals not entirely wanted to be photographed, we managed.
27th April, Puerto Madryn. A small little amaradillo walking along the beach. Although the only marine animals we saw were sea-elephants on a distance of 250 mtr, the amaradillo made a lot better.

28th April, Puerto Madryn. Back from our road trip and before taking off for some new insights an amazing sunrise. The clouds on the left were amazing!!
28th April, Kaiman. Not the islands but a small Welch setllement nearby Pt. Madryn. Together with the british girl we had high tea in an official thea-house.
30th April, Bariloche. Nearby the adventure capital of Argentina, Bariloche, is a park open for simple walks. During the morning ride with the bus, some of the most amazing scenery is witnessed.

May 4th, Bariloche, roadtrip day 4. Just after our return that afternoon, we saw the sun setting from our hostel. Hostal 1004 has so far been the best hostal, for it´s location, services and the price that goes with it.
May 4th, Bariloche, roadtrip day 4. The last few days a festival was held in Bariloche. Which we apparently missed, except for the fireworks. We enjoyed the fireworks while we celebrated our return to Bariloche in 1 piece and an amazing 4 days in the Lake District.
May 4th, Bariloche, roadtrip day 4. And, like each party in Argentina, we had to celebrate our return with a steak and some good wine.
May 6th, Bariloche. After a day of recouperating from the roadtrip we decided to do something again. We decided to climb up to Cerro Otto, a simple 2 hour walk.

May 6th, Cerro Otto, next to Bariloche. All tired after our simple 2 hour walk, we decided to go down in a cable car while enjoying the sunset.
May 7th, Hotel Llao Llao, Bariloche. Hotel Llao Llao is the best known hotel in Argentina. Designed by Alejandro Bustillo in 1940 with wood, it burned down after 3 years. After rebuilding it, the hotel gained fame for its marvelous views and beautifull rooms. Unfortunately, these were not open for the lower people with just enough money for a drink (yep, us).
May 9th, Maipu, near Mendoza. After arriving in Mendoza the 8th and a day of hanging around the boring city of Mendoza, we took a wine tour in the area of Maipu. On the left Hugo, the owner of the bike rental shop. Together with Carlijn (Ned), Thomas (Dui), Justin (USA) and Derek (Ire) we took the bikes for a closer look to the production of the ¨vinos tintos¨.
