Day 1 Baby Birds. We found tiny white eggs in a nest one day. We didn't take a photo when we found them. Then 2 days later we were shocked to find this nest of helpless babies.
Day 2: A little mohawked baby bird we named Mr. T.
Day 3 sleepy birds
Day 4 Hungry little suckers! They make no sound yet.
Day 5 they start to look more bird like and slightly less helpless with their black eyes peeking back at us. Still not making a sound.
Day 6 Mama bird must be so proud, her babies look so feathered out. I hope we catch a glimpse of them leaving their nest someday! They still are very quiet and content.
Day 8 or 9 (I lost count) they keep feathering out more and more. There are 5 birds, but I think you can only make out 4 here. The day after this picture was taken three had left, then the other 2 left the next day. Now they are gone to live a fun bird life in the sky...and eating up all the berries I'm trying to plant most likely.
The kids hanging out all day being kids. Harry Potter audio book was on the radio. I love seeing them all playing different things near each other while enjoying a good story. They did this for hours.
The little girls. Oh how they are growing.
Three words about Penelope Juliet: darling, sweet, free
Three words about Layla Sunday: creative, wild, confident.
These girls have fashion.
Sebastian eats soil...more than once a day.
I call our new place "The Island" from LOST fame. Because things grow like crazy magic here. This plant I've had for 6 years and it has never flowered more than 3 flowers at a time, and then only in the winter. I bring it here and *BAM* the sucker explodes. Our island is magic (either that or actual sunshine helps things grow). Sage actually gave this to me for mother's day many years ago.
Ethan's huge worm! This worm is even bigger than the picture looks. Photo of this worm does no justice to it. The left side of worm end is draped on Ethan's wrist.
Penelope with a pretty flower. These flowers grow on a unidentified bush, but they are SO pretty and HUGE. If you know what they are let us know.
Charlotte tending to strawberries. We planted over 100 plants.
