oh, sad because we're not going to be together anymore!

and then i had a stop over in chicago... it was smoggy in chicago on friday... lovely
after 2.5 hours of very intense waiting in line, we took off on a giant double decker train (i had a window seat on the top deck - mmhmm) just in time to watch the sun set behind the chicago skyway. talk about senic! ;)
i think i actually did sleep on the train - the chairs are really spiffy (i should've taken a picture!) so you can stretch out pretty well, but it was SO FREEZING that i never slept for more than an hour or two at a time before waking up to move around a bit and get the blood flowing again. anyway, this is somewhere in pennsylvania, shortly after i finally got some nice hot coffee. i slept through toledo, cleveland, and most of pittsburg. (i know, who sleeps through cleveland?!?)

and harper's ferry, wv. people were on inner tubes floating down the river in their swimsuits, and i was like, "are you kidding! it's FREEZING in here!!"
