Many different kinds of trees can be found on campus. Students can discover the types of trees by observing the leaves, shape and bark.

First CVES Outdoor Classroom spearheaded by former teacher Carol Kosko with the help of business partners and PTA. Currently Betty Swanson, AVP, heads the Garden Club who help to maintain the area.

Meeting area in small tree grove within the outdoor classroom.
Zen Garden, Daniel Hodge 1st grade teacher built the entrance and was instrumental in the installation.
Diane Briggs donated this apple tree and this is the first fruit!

The play pad backs up to a heavily wooded area. Some neighborhoods have paths running through the woods leading to school.
