Goldfield Ghost Town

Playing with new lenses! Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime and a Tokina 12-24 f/4 zoooom. 98% straight out of camera with little to no post processing! I was excited, too. What a HUGE difference a nice lens makes, eh?

Tempe Town Lake and Marketplace @ Night

I've been to London, I've been to Paris, Belgium, Moscow, etc and I've got to say that Tempe is still my favorite city in the whole wide world! :) I was talking more than concentrating on shooting, so I'll have to come back and get some more shots. I could easily spend all day photographing Mill Ave too. We'll get to that later. This was my first time trying night photography with a tripod and shutter release cable with an HDR group. It was incredible! So incredible, that I would say night photography is one of my favorite mediums now.

Oak Creek - for Fall Color

Spent the entire day at Oak Creek (West Fork) photographing the leaves turning color and studying the light. Lots of pictures, when it comes to nature and color, it's hard to choose the usual 24-36/(ok, sometimes 50'ish) favorites :) It was great randomly running into some old friends! And spending time with new ones! Zero post editing, the sky really was that blue! :) 99% aperture priority mode.

Snowbowl -50mm f/1.8

My first time switching from my usual lens... I tried out a 50mm prime f/1.8 and forced myself not to use auto mode. I used Aperture Priority, everything was ISO 1600 and f/1.8 for awhile.... organized by Aperature

Boyce Thompson Arboretum - Picket Post Mansion overlooks the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, AZ has only been open to the public a few times in the last 6 months. It's still undergoing some restorations. and next time... I'll use a tripod. (just noticed I had Image Stabilization OFF also....)
