Die letzte Kiel-Blade-Night des Jahres 2011am 24.August sah knapp 300 Teilnehmer. Mounting a GoPro on a bicycle

2nd test with a www.gopro.com on self built mounts for use on a bicycle. the aim was : to keep the image free of holders far aft (rear arm), to enlarge the viewing angel onto the driver (helmet arm), to find the most suitable places without being limited by the available gopro holders, and to develop & manufacture bike specific metal adaptors.

Operation "Close That Hole"

to pass the the bi-annual tech check, the car needed some welding . instead of paying a workshop, i bought a 200a heliarc welder incl bottle (10l of corgon a mix of 88perc argon/rest co2 bottled @ 200bar) , and took the 1991 micra to the operation room. stability wise, closing then gap of 2" dia wasnt really necessary, but hiding corrosion behind glassfiber and paint isnt my thing: only steel is real

UNIKAT - A proa with Flettner rotor

UNIKAT is a proa driven by a Flettner rotor. She was designed as "MBULI" by John Harris ( http://www.clcboats.com) and built by a group of students around Prof. Fiesser, University of Flensburg, Germany. The shots were taken Oct 1, 2006 at Kiel-Schilksee Olympic Harbor and Kiel-City. Due to incorrect assembly of both rudders, which were set in the same direction, it was impossible to steer her. Currently, test series are taken to determine the most efficient rotor rpm, its surface structure and rudder settings.
