Church at the starting point of the hike...unfortunately I didn't get the name.
View of Córdoba from the trail.
View of the church at the trailhead.
Izumi from Japan and Scott from America....the international contingent of Llega Como Puedas. Izumi speaks about three words of English, and my Japanese is about the same...we could only communicate in Spanish.
The final haul to the peak of Pedro Lopez.
View from the peak.
The Roman bridge.
Terrible picture of me in front of the Roman bridge.
The Roman bridge was in pretty good shape for being nearly 2000 years old.
The Caliphate bridge, dating from the 9th century A.D.
The keyhole-shaped arches are characteristic of the Muslim structures in Andalucía.
Although the Caliphate bridge is pretty, it has't held up as well as the Roman bridge.
On the top of the Caliphate bridge....compare with the top of the Roman bridge.
View of the river from the Caliphate bridge.
The bar at Los Arenales, where we celebrated the successful completion of the hike.
