Snake River - SE trail
The Snake River Birds of prey area is a great fall ride. A hardy crew of members and guests rode the trail on the south side of the river. The day started out brisk, but the sun soon warmed the air and swarms of non-biting but very annoying bugs that keep the group moving. Highlights of the ride are the bridge crossing and riding along the base of some cliffs. The trail to the pumping station is in excellent condition, after that it became a series of game and stock trails.

Packers Play Day
Hosted by the Circle G River Ranch and Squaw Butte, the open to the public event was a great success again this year. The weatherman predicted a rain-out but patches of blue Saturday morning over Emmett turned into a great fall day. Riders from all skills levels rode their horses in a number of events including pole bending, key-hole, barrels, musical chairs and a trail course. Members of Squaw Butte worked hard running and riding in the events and serving a great lunch. Thanks to all who attended!

West Mountain South
Trisha & Tracy Beyer, and Rob Adams took a cool fall ride on the southern end of TR131. The day was damp and cool after a cold front had passed through Idaho. There was snow above 7500 feet, the trail was a bit muddy, and we rode through some clouds. Fresh mule deer and elk track could be seen and what looked like a small wolf's tracks. Rob talked to some bow hunters who said they saw two wolfs the night before.
