A particularly unique chair found near where we spent the night. Not sure if it ever got used.
Florida state border sign. Not much else to be said.
Georgia state border signs - not sure what happened to their "Welcome, here's our motto" sign.
Judging from the prices, this gas station has not been open for quite some time.
Alabama's state border sign. We must have missed the beautiful part of the state.
Mississippi's state border sign. After a fashion, it *was* like coming home to me, though I was there only a few months before Katrina convinced me to be elsewhere.
You know, we had absolutely *no* idea what this sign was trying to tell us. If interested, you can find it at the bottom of the westbound off-ramp from I-10 going onto Route 57 outside of Ocean Springs, MS.
Lousiana's state sign. Now that I live in a state where the primary language is Spanish, I welcomed one that spoke French. I have no idea about the bunny, but the bullet holes speak volumes.
Of all the things to see going cross-country, if you jump off I-10 westbound at exit 139 in Louisiana, drive under the interstate, and stop at the gas station over there, they have a cage system set up for holding four tigers. Only one was in residence when we stopped.
Of course, being protected by federal law still does not get the tiger out of the cage.
