Southern Regional Conference 2009-2010
On November 6th and 7th, Roosevelt chapters gathered from all corners of the south in Atlanta, Georgia for the Southern Student Empowerment Forum. In coordination with Young People First and Black Youth Vote, Roosevelt members explored legislation analysis, social media, and the major policy issues facing the south. Also, David Weinberger, Energy and Environmental Policy Strategist, joined the southern region to establish the Southern Industry Mosaic, a region-wide initiative to explore the policy implications of the changing industries of the south. Special thanks to Davidson College, UNC-CH, UGA, MTSU, Harding University, and Tulane for their contributions in leading discussion and initiatives on the Southern Growth Policy Board break-out sessions.
