The u-haul truck is ALMOST completely loaded with materials, supplies, and tools; all that is left is the green wall. We were able to get the Thesis Kid's help with loading up these Very Heavy sections.

2nd to last on-site Saturday workday! We packed up the house, took down the green wall and the shade structure, disassembled the porches, but most importantly, we ate barbeque for lunch.

9/11/2009 Sunset at the Solar House

We hosted our send off party, Sunset at the Solar House, this past Friday. It was AWESOME! Team ZEROW had a great time showing the house off to hundreds of students, friends, and Houston community members. It was quite a party with music, snacks, and of course, house tours, and we especially loved everyone lounging outside on the light core porch (EXACTLY the type of outdoor activity it was designed for).

Today, apprentices from the Plumbers Union local apprenticeship program came and put in an amazing day's work on the wet core. Also, Hollis Fitch from Cinco Solar drove down from San Antonio to deliveru some of the donated Apricus components for the solar hot water system.

The Ze-Row chassis arrives from Berger Ironworks and is placed onsite by a crane from RWS Crane. The Rice Building Workshop workbox also arrives, providing us with a full wood shop on campus.
