We went out for lunch with some friends after church. They wanted to check out a new restaurant and I am sooo glad we did! This was soooo good!
Enjoying an afternoon hanging out at our friends' place - The Wallners.
This was my first cooking/baking lesson. A friend's mom has taken it upon herself to help show me the ways of Austrian cusine! :)
This is what a real applestrudel dough looks like...it's supposed to be so thin that you can read a newspaper through it!
Then you add all the fixens...
After watching the pro once, I had to give it a go.
This was the end result. So, now it's practice, practice, practice for me!
Some snow and ice. It's winter, what else?
This icicle was hanging just ouside the bathroom window.
OK, we celebrated our friend Rebecca's birthday by going out for drinks at Chi-Chi's. Yes, there is a Chi-Chi's in Graz.
For whatever reason they didn't have real margarita glasses that day...so this is what our drinks looked like!
Soooo cool...the birthday kid who goes to Chi-Chi's actually gets to KEEP her sombrero, which Rebecca bravely wore on the public as we headed on to dinner!
Thomas in Sombrero. ¡Olé!
So, our dear friend Anne is teaching in England and came back to Graz over the holidays. We had to see her off at the airport and there we are with her family and our Rebecca Honts.
I've taken up a new hobby....I'm a ski jumper! Well, at least that's what the cutout at the airport let me believe for that brief moment. On second thought, I'll probably just stick to ski jumping on the Wii.
