Dusk settles on Hervey Bay.

These parrots flew into their nightly roost above our camp site at Hervey Bay. The noise of their chattering was absolutely deafening.
This high frequency sound box was meant to create a noise nuisance to the parrots but the parrots have grown accustomed to it and now ignore its signals.
This shag had signs of oil pollution on its chest. Can't we respect our environment and fellow creatures?
In the evening light this pier on Hervey Bay had a lovely geometry and colour.

This scene reminded me a Tom Sawyer/ Huck. Finn story. Listening to these boys conversation was very funny. they weren't aware of our presence.

In 1983 Bert Hinkler's home in Southampton was dismantled brick by brick and transported to the town of his birth. The grand old building now rests at the Bundaberg Botanic gardens and serve as the HINKLER HOUSE MEMORIAL MUSEUM.

A model of the Avro Avian G-EBOV. This was the plane that Hinkler flew on his pioneering solo flight from England to Australia. It is considered his most renowned accomplishment. The flight took 15 and a half days.
