This one is for my dad so he can see how long the RV is in reference to the parking spaces and why I need 2!
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse when I arrived - it was cloudy and rather iky and cold.
View from the top!
The lens! This reflects the light from the 2 1,000 watt bulbs! This one is a pretty big one....
Looking down on the Lighthouse Keeper's House - now it's a museum and the coast.
This was a bell at one point in time, now they have a gong buoy out in the ocean to make noise to alert boaters that they are close to the shore
Monhengan Island
Look how the clouds are starting to lift...
The stairs going down! There were 36 steps and then a short ladder - nothing compared to some of the trails I hiked!
Yep, I'm stalking the spray again!
The rocks were very cool - looked like they were liquid at one time...
See? When you get it, it's very cool!
The red building on the left was used to store whale oil that was used to light the light at 1st.
This was a purple daisy, but the sun washed it out.
Now it's sunny! Blue skies! And hot! Not sure what the red flag is, the blue one is the Maine state flag...
The lighthouse with random stranger.....I think there's a way I can photoshop him out....
or I could just take another picture...he's still there, but I can crop him out there...
Or wait till he moves entirely...
Irises again! :-)
These are more colorful than the others I have seen...
I was finally able to get above them! That's the cool part...the others I have seen haven't had anything nearby to stand on! I still couldn't get far enough away to used tele-macro on the camera.
It wouldn't be a kitchy tourist stop without a life-size fiberglass indian.
Or two...
Or better yet a shamu size “lobster-zilla”! b
And to round out the tacky, a fiberglass pirate.
