This cove is directly behind my campsite, I have a “winter water view”
The white you see through the trees is my RV
Garden stump
Driftwood Cove
Heron!
Loons! At least I think these are loons, I know I saw loons later and these don't look quite like them
This is a bad shot and I'm not sure what I was aiming for, but it's an example of the cottage/cabins that are all over the eastern shore of the lake, the western shore is dense woods.
hmmm...I think I was trying to get the loons - the white dots that were in the other pic and this one....obviously I failed.
This is kinda like “Bridges of Madison County” only “Waterfalls of Richardson Lake!”
Those rocks out in the water there are where I went swimming.
These next few shots were all taken when I stopped to swim
Loons - hard to see, but there are there....there's a better shot of a loon coming up....
The bridge went to someone's cabin.
See the island just to the left of the boat? That was my goal - I was going to get to it then turn around.
Island is getting closer!
This loon appeared right in front of me....
Then it dove and when it popped up it was even closer to me!
And by dumb luck, and being in the right place at the right time, I got this shot! :-)
I made it! :-)
Crossing to the other side of the lake - this was hard! The wind was picking up and it was choppy out there....And it was a very long way!
Made it to the other side!
That's a tree in the water with it's bark peeling off
Garden Rock!
My site - #57 It's HUGE! I'm actually pointed the “wrong way” - but if I just pulled in and “paralled parked the electric post was on the wrong side and when I backed in it was not level - I nearly rolled out of bed the 1st night!
The kayaks! I used the red one on the bottom right
