We were testing a dual-balloon system. The small balloon didn't have enough lift, and was actually drug up by the larger balloon.

We barely knew what we were doing, but we volunteered to demonstrate our new hobby for a group of 6th graders at Wiley Elementary. Casey Swarts can be seen in several of the photos teaching various aspects of science to the kids.

This was Traveler's first flight. We launched out of Hutchinson, KS but were under-inflated. We finally landed near Beatrice, NE. The "Project: Traveler" name came from this flight.
