Cefalu: Main Cathedral. This is a mosaic done in the Byzantine style, using many layers of gold leaf and bits of colored glass. Normally these types of mosaic are done in the Roman style, using bits of colored marble.
Cefalu: The Washing Place. This is where the women would come to wash clothing and linens, there is flowing water that leads out to the sea. Many of these places were demolished to make way for modern buildings. This is one of the few that survives today.
