Yosemite National Park
With the Green Tortoise (a travel company for adventurous people, and the name of the hostel I stayed in), I went to Yosemite Park for a weekend. With a group of 36 people, 1 driver and 1 guide/cook, we left Friday night at midnight in a sleeper bus. We all kind of slept till 6 am, when we stopped at a parking lot, got dressed and made breakfast. We drove into the park, spend the day there and made dinner and spend the night on a camp site an hour away. We went back to the park the following morning. We made dinner on a parking lot again and then went to 'the oldest pub in (what was it, California?)'. There we drank, danced and had a lot of fun untill we left for San Francisco again at midnight.
