Hobsons Worldwide donated $74,100 to help Plan build a new school complex in Techiman, Ghana. Hobsons employees traveled with Plan USA staff to see the new complex that is currently being constructed with their donations.

The new school complex will include six classrooms, a library, a teacher's office, a water storage facility, computer equipment, and more.

Hobsons' employees "were welcomed with open arms and hearts" by the children, women and men of the Techiman community.
The community of Techiman has 270 students, with 100% attendance and 100% pass rate at the school since Plan's involvement.
Before Hobsons sponsored the school in Techiman, the children were going to school in makeshift rooms without proper roofs, floors, or walls.
Women, men, local chiefs and village elders gathered to greet their visitors.

Each Hobsons' employee brought on their trip 2 suitcases, one for their own things and one full of donated school supplies.
The donated school supplies included pencils, paper, folders and more.
