Just as Mary had a little lamb, Shurjo had a little deer
She was quite tame
Everyone loved to visit and feed her in the pen Shurjo built
But as she grew, the day came when she would need to be set free.
And so on the appointed day, Shurjo put on her collar and halter leash for their last walk together . . .
. . . but as she wasn't interested in leaving the pen, he had to carry her away!
He took her up to the monastery, hoping she'd come back to visit at times
He set her gently down, & after a brief blessing . . .
. . . unloosed her collar and leash
Off to freedom went little Sita . . . but 1st, a grateful goodbye glance.
