Natl Capital Area Cake Show (NCACS) - 2011

The National Capital Area Cake Show was held in Annandale, VA. I was delighted to spend an entire day at the show viewing the displays, taking a gumpaste class, watching a live wedding cake challenge, and more cake fun! I took photos of my very favorite cakes from the day. I hope you enjoy!

Natl Capital Area Cake Show (NCACS) - 2010

The National Capital Area Cake Show was held in Fairfax, VA. I was away in Seattle visting friends, but the best husband in the world (mine!) brought our two kids to the show and took pictures for me! Hope you enjoy the photos!

Great American Cake Show - 2009

Today I got to attend the Great American Cake Show in Westminster, MD. Just like the National Capital Area Cake Show we attended in March, we saw cakes from all different experience categories on display for judging. But this contest even had a Peeps category! I took photos of my favorites from the day... I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do!

Natl Capital Area Cake Show (NCACS) - 2009

Today I got to attend the National Capital Area Cake Show... IT - WAS - AWESOME! We saw cakes from all different experience categories on display for judging. Even a whole room of just wedding cakes. A really neat experience for me was to witness a live cake challenge and even count down as the clock ran out. The theme for the challenge was Garden Cakes. It was heart-wrenching when one contestant's cake crashed to the floor just five minutes before the clock ran out! In fact, I was surprised just how many on display had collapsed or lost their top tier. But, many of them were transported from all over the east coast so I guess the didn't travel well. I didn't photograph those. ;) I did take photos of my very favorites from the day... I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do!
