Empty space...
Took a friend to crystal cathedral this weekend... this glass wall always fascinated me. 6/8/08
First time inside the crystal cathedral, such an amazing building.
There was a nice break in the storm and it was absolutely beautiful light coming through so I grabbed my camera and went out to my yard for some quick photos.
After the strobist seminar, I decided to play with my flash and balancing that with the ambient light a bit. Setting the shutter to 1/250s was enough to completely black out the background (well almost).
The red on black of the previous photo might have been too bland so I decided to let in a bit more ambient light and allowed for a green background.
Still on camera flash, but hopefully it is less obvious since the flash was positioned roughly where the sunlight was coming from.
Home (sort of)... Irvine. The origin of my interest in photography: night shots...
