Hong Kong international airport. The whole thing is like one giant shopping mall if you ask me :)
Our flight to HK was delayed by over an hour, plus another 2 hours circling in flight due to typhoons... this all added up to us completely missing our connecting flight to Auckland.
We basically spent a full day on the plane/in Hong Kong airport... but finally we are ready to head to Auckland, New Zealand
Welcome gate at Auckland airport. I don't feel so welcomed...
View from Mt. Eden, highest point in Auckland
Downtown Auckland and the famous Sky Tower
Auckland, City of Sails...
One of the better pictures from the day... remains of a volcano crater
Cows! Well, there'll be plenty more cows :)
Auckland War Memorial Museum. One of the more distinct buildings in Auckland.
Court of Honour infront of the museum.
Flowers inside the botanical garden next to the museum
I've never actually seen one of these... one of the many exotic plants inside the garden.
Center court yard of the botanical garden
They had a wing just for ferns.
I thought these puffy flowers were kinda cool.
Michael Joseph Savage memorial
I love the pond infront of the memorial.
That's Rangitoto off in the distance. Rangitoto is the youngest volcanic islands (only 600-700 years old) and is one of the major landmarks in Auckland
Sakura (cherry blossom) set against the deep blue sky.
Something about that tree being different from the rest just compelled me to take this photo...
New Zealand natural ice cream... we had ice cream almost every day in NZ... partly why I gained so much weight :p. But man... it was GOOD
