Kurt will be teaching at a Christian school in Tanzania called the Lion of Judah Academy.
The academy was founded by a missionary couple from Pennsylvania.
The school buildings have been hand built with the help of people from the local village.

Though all of the current employees at the academy are African, several short term missions teams like this one have visited.
The students in school advance by completing competency exams. Unlike the US, within a particular grade, there may be a large discrepancy in age. There is no stigma associated with older students in a grade, as everyone understands that some children must work or help the family instead of attending school.
The school has no chapel at the moment. Church services are held outdoors by the tree.
