Japan 2007
These pictures show the start of a wonderful holiday in Japan. We planned to see a lot of traditional and modern onsen, the famous coloured autumn leaves and the nature of the Japanese Alps. Unfortunately on the 22nd of October 2007, after a long walk through the Japanese Alps near Takayama and while about to take a traditional Japanese bath, I was struck by a seizure. I was rushed into a hospital where tests showed that this seizure was in fact caused by a primary tumor in the left side of my brain. We had to cut our holiday short so just a few pictures were taken after the 22nd of October. We plan to return and finish the trip when I'm fully recovered.
