Colleen-Mom and her two boys, Porter and Murphy. Rest stop area in Indiana.
Herding day one. Milling about getting ready for day.
No that is not a Corgi in the background. Just another canine sibling along to cheer on their Corgi kin.
Dudley and Taffy--Murphy and Porter got to play with Dudley a little bit.
Murphy waiting for his turn and Porter waiting for someone to notice him and pet him.
Porter's and Murphy's newly made friends--Taffy and Dudley.
Dudley
Dudley (Yeah I liked him--very nice Cardi boy.)
Pictures from Porter's or Murphy's Viewpoint--Others and their Corgis.
P or M ViewPoint--Cardis meeting each other.
The boys calm before the 'storm.'
Watching the Watchers from a distance.
Sheep moving in one of the tests. Murphy saw them and we were quick to move as he was excited to see them.
Jack--he tried playing with Murphy a little. A little comedian who made Mom laugh a lot.
Murphy meets some relations--Ginger with Dina D.
Murphy with Ginger and Great Grand-Dog Sam. It was a red dog party.
Amazed at the different shades of red.
Murphy, Ginger, Sam and Porter--just a few of the red dogs at the herding trials.
Murphy meets other relations--Conner and Moira.
Porter couldn't help himself and joined in the family meeting.
Day One--our start in HT.
Sheep are with me and he comes in fast...(working on that)
I should be with the sheep...he was a little too pushy on Saturday.
This is a bit better.
He'd get too pushy and send one or two off...
And we'd get it back together.
Not too bad going, but I know we passed only due to meeting the criteria. He was a little too pushy for her taste.
He kept trying to get in too close and I know it is something to work on.
He was having “his own good time.”
He had a lot of energy to burn and tended to keep zooming back and forth.
It might look like he slowed down...it was momentary. I wasn't completely happy with our run, but we didn't do as bad as it could have been.
One of the Cardis whose coloring I loved.
Some Cardis ready to have some fun.
Very nice Cardi girl that loved people.
Waiting around for HT to finish and get ribbons.
Moira getting ready for her turn at HT
One of the young Cardis watching others take a turn with the sheep.
She just kept watching us.
Waiting for the person walking up to say hi to her.
Day two--some of the Cardis waiting during the next HT test.
Loved the markings on this boy.
On Alert...there are some doggies over there having fun!
Just another one that I liked the coloring of...
Just loved the look of this one's face.
Another cute puppy.
Just watching the world go by...
After a good HT run.
A Coca-Cola museum just down from our hotel in Elizabethtown KY.
A sign at the back of their parking lot.
The boys get a break out of the car at a rest stop between Elizabethtown and Fort Mitchell KY.
They had more fun watching others than walking around in the dog walk area of the rest stop.
Porter looking over at the OB trials going on while waiting for CGC/TDI testing.
Just a funny shot---Pembroke at a Cardigan show.
Porter during CGC/TDI testing.
Snoozing in the hotel room--it was hard work to pass his CGC/TDI test.
He sure knows how to rest up after proving himself.
Murphy says it is easy to rest up.
You just tuck your tail in and sleep--Oh sorry Porter...he forgot you don't have a tail.
Before heading home, we checked out a dog park in Covington KY.
Murphy made friends with a 5 month old GSD-Mika. She was the only dog at the park and her owners say she plays with two Corgis owned by a friend.
Fun was had by all and it made for some very sleepy dogs on the long trip home.
I think they started a game of “Tag, You're It”
Mika is it... and she wants to tag Murphy back.
She is gaining.
Almost got him...
Oh no! He ducked and she overshot him!
Coming around again!
I don't think Mika's owners thought she would get this kind of work out.
Poor Porter...he tries so hard to keep up with the 'kids.'
Ah...he says screw it...let them have the fun...I'm getting some water.
Murphy does a lot of weaving and Mika does her best to keep up.
He keeps her guessing.
But he starts to get away from her.
She finally gets a chance to block him!
TAG You're IT!
But wait, Murphy says...
Tag back! You're it!
Mika tries to get him back again.
Do you get the feeling he is saying “Nah-Nah, you can't catch me!”
I'm going to get you, Murphy!
Not if I fly away!
Whew! Playing tag is hard work.
But she didn't get me...heh heh.
He is full of attitude now...
Don't worry, Mika got to tag him again and take him down a notch.
Murphy--oh man, not in front of my family.
This was a smaller area of the dog park. It had a large dog area and small dog area.
This is looking back at a larger area that was fenced off as another dog area.
One of many shots of the larger dog park area that was closed when we were there.
The next shot over and a smaller enclosed area that may have been for the smaller dogs.
Yes another shot showing the area goes way over to the right...
At the far right of the bigger dog park area, there is an agility set up that was open. Mika's parents told us it was always open.
In the agility set up at the dog park. Took some poses of the boys.
I think they are trying to see who has the bigger tongue.
Murphy's is just a bit wider.
Oh sorry, didn't mean to offend you Murphy.
M: Can you believe it? Mom thinks my tongue is big. P: Well we were having a tongue test, Dude!
Checking out the big tunnel.
Doggies coming through!
Whee! Tunnel run!
Follow me to the left!
This is fun!
This small tunnel has funny smells around it.
Look at me on the Dog Walk!
Taking my turn on the Dog Walk.
A look from the agility area into the big dog park area. I really would have liked to check out that part of the park.
We made a side trip so we could say the boys were in Ohio too!
Interesting sight on the way home...wind farm area. There was no way to get all the towers in one shot.
