DHR Garratt - S4n2
This is a 4mm scale Backwoods Miniatures kit of the Darjeeling & Himalayan Railway Garratt, built to Finescale Narrow Gauge standards (S4n2). Major modifications involve full suspension and making the bogies split-frame, as well as modifications to the cab. The front bogie rocks relative to the body as on the prototype. The story behind my model is that instead of being broken up in 1954, it eventually found its way to the Festiniog Railway where it was restored to a condition nearer to that in which it left the factory.
