Los Ebanos Ferry crossing. This is the oldest documented ferry crossing in Texas. First recorded by Spanish explorers in the 1740's.
Los Ebanos Ferry was named for the Ebony trees found here.
The Los Ebanos Ferry is the only government-licensed hand-pulled ferry on any boundary of the United States.
