My last campsite of the trip. Tomorrow is the end of the ride. I get to meet Chuck's sister, Maureen. She is meeting us at the Lincoln Memorial. We will stay one night with her in Potomac and then head back to Frederick to stay at Chuck's place until we fly back to Seattle on the 12th.

I am staying at camp in Clarksburgh since it is our last night together as a group. It's already sad to start saying our goodbyes.

I was riding happily along when another one of our riders (Bob) chased me down (about a mile and a half down the road). Cliff a retired doc and our oldest rider was hit by a road construction vehicle. we were riding through a construction zone between Hardin and Sheridan. He was thrown from his bike. he's okay. got a new bike in Rapid City. cliff's bike was demolished as you can see from the picture i posted last week. his helment was completely intact and probably saved his life.

Day 4 - Well, this is where we are staying on our first rest day (DAY #5). The University gave us a warm welcome. I haven't slept in the top bunk bed since I was in the Army. I told Janet (my roommate) to call 911 if I fall out of bed.
At first these cattle came down to the fence to check us out. Steph got a great close up of a bull running away. They checked us out and then ran away as if to say,"Don't take our picture."
A pond off Hwy #2, between Davenport and Spokane. I saw a huge group of swallows near here that were dive bombing a mosquito ball. Also, I saw several coots out on the pond.
