At the Peoria airport. We ran into J.L. who was on her way to Europe. We took the same flight to Chicago.
Waiting 4 number 4 (piece of luggage that is...and there were only 3 pieces of luggage). It took bags 3 minutes to complete a circuit.
Thank you, American Airlines. We actually saw the guys throwing our bags into the puddles in Chicago. Our clothes were damp today. On the whole, I was impressed that on a flight that was book on Delta and ended up taking place on American and Continental, even got our bags to Guatemala.
Mimi and Ellie.
At a Guatemalan Pizza place. It was located about a hundred yards from our hotel.
It didn't give us the safest feeling in the world when the pizza place had to unlock its doors to let us come in.
Our hotel is actually on US soil since it is located on embassy property.
Favorite toys so far: Kroger stickers and hairbrush.
This is one of the few times today Ellie was not being held. In fact, even as I type this, she's in my arms...asleep!
Bath time was not a hit. After her bath, she avoided Whitney for awhile and clung to me. Later, if Whitney even walked by the bathroom with her, she started to cry!
At a candle factory in Antigua.
At a jade factory.
We have two paintings of this street and archway in Antigua at our house.
This kid grew up in an orphanage in Guatemala...yet still knows how to use a phone.
Asleep in bed.
There is a joke in our house about how close the kids like to sit to me at meals. We noticed this morning that Ellie has the same tendency.
Everything is a phone...
...except a phone. That is clearly a snack.
These are sealed documents that we are not to open. But it's so tempting....
