Learning Jaltarang
Four students were granted 2-year scholarship by South-Central Zone Cultural Centre to learn Jaltarang with Dr. Ragini Trivedi. Nidhi Verma, Vaibhav Mehta, Tripti Ambardekar and Sapna Potghan starting from scratch today can play full compostions. Except Tripti, the rest are practising regularly on their Jaltarang sets obtained through Shri Yusuf Khan Mirajkar of Pune. Several others have become interested in taking up this rare and almost extinct instrument.
