Reception for LAU Sai Yung, Chairman, CUHK Convocation

LAU Sai Yung, Chairman, CUHK Convocation, briefed alumni in Northern California at Peony Restaurant in Oakland, CA, about the recent development of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. All of those attended had a wonderful time. Mr Lau Sai Yung is the Chairman of the CUHK Convocation, founder of Siu Bim Dam and a prestigious CPA in HK. <<Photos by Amy and Tony Kwock>> 香港中文大學海外校友會於七月廿八日在屋崙牡丹閣酒樓設宴款待香港中文大學評議會主席劉世鏞校友夫婦。宴會中劉校友介紹有關香港中文大學的近期發展及香港近況。各校友大家歡敘一堂，喜氣洋洋，直至晚上十時盡興而歸。

July 2010 Backyard BBQ

Alumni enjoyed potluck backyard BBQ at Amy and Tony Kwock's home. Farewell to Shirley Lau who will complete her 3-year duty as deputy director of HKETO in San Francisco and return to Hong Kong on 31 July. Quarterly Board Meeting and 30th Anniversary Book Editorial Meeting were also conducted on the same day. 7月10日，董事及校友們在郭堂鄧瑋家中之後院燒烤聯歡。適逢香港經易處註三藩市副處長劉思敏校友任職滿期，榮調回港為香港行政特區繼續工作。校友們預備了奶酪蛋糕及精美燒烤食品，為劉校友餞行。在清風除來的優雅環境下，共渡一個愉快晚上。

編輯組火煱叙餐

The Overseas Alumni Association Book Editorial Committee Meeting and Hot Pot Dinner 本會編輯組火煱叙餐本會籌備出版第二本刋物《中大人在北加州》的工作已經接近尾聲，稿件徵集非常順利，現已獲得四十多位校友投稿。籌募出版經費方面亦頗有進展，惟與既定目標仍有一段距離。希望各位校友繼續踴躍慷慨解囊玉成是項艱辛而饒有意義的工作。

Harrison Lim's Book Launching

林炳昌校友新作《千年紅淚》，由香港華夏文化出版社出版，己運抵美國，並於2009年12月19日假三藩市中華文化中心擧行發佈會，多名校及眾多讀者到場搶購，先睹為快。該書文筆細膩溫馨婉約，娓娓道來，艷麗動人，悽美絕倫，別樹一幟，是文壇奇葩。
