These photos show the Friday players having their last session of 2011. Before play commenced, prizes were presented to those who were successful in the various competitions held throughout the year. HERE'S A TIP...The small pictures you can see on the left are called thumbnails. Click any thumbnail to see the full version. Then click the large arrow on the right to move forward through the gallery one photo at a time (or the left arrow to move backwards). On 28 November the Monday players celebrated the end of 2011 with their usual bridge session followed by prize giving and a shared lunch.

Album No 19 - Who's Who - Photos 1203 to 1462

This album contains (in roughly alphabetical order) mug shots of many of our current members. Ideally the album should include all those listed in our most recent Programme booklet together with any who have joined since the booklet was printed. But obviously there are several members not shown simply because I do not have all the photos I would like. I would be delighted to include more photos if anyone has any that might be suitable. Album No 18 - Party Day 27 March 2011 - photos 1131 to 1164

These photos were taken at the Party Day on 27 March 2011. The the theme for the occasion was a 'Garden Party'. As can be seen, many of those attending threw themselves enthusiastically into the spirit of things. There were lots of great hats on display!

This album contains various photos and has no particular theme. Included are some of the clubhouse taken on 24 March 2011, shortly after the building had been repainted. There are also some taken during bridge lessons that are put on for beginners.

Album No 16 — More end of year photos for 2010

The final bridge session of the year for the Tuesday players was on 7 December 2010 and that for the Thursday players was on 9 December. The photos in this album were taken on those occasions. Included are shots of various competition winners receiving their prizes.

Album No 15 — Monday bridge. End of 2010. Photos 951 to 1039

All of the photos in this Album No 15 were taken on Monday 29 Nov 2010. Throughout the year the Monday sessions cater for the relative novices. On this particular occasion, to mark the end of the bridge year, there was a tournament for the Jubilee Cup followed by an excellent lunch together and finally the prizegiving. Album No 13 — Joan Kirkham's 100th Birthday — photos 883 to 915

Joan Kirkham, our oldest member and still playing regularly, had her 100th Birthday on 2 September 2010. The occasion was celebrated at the Club the previous day. Congratulations Joan !!!!

This album was opened in March 2010. It includes several photos taken on 21 March at our 'Oscars' party day. Also some of our clubhouse taken in July 2010. And also several photos taken at the 'Winter Madness' Day on 12 July.

These photos were all taken during the final week of the 2009 bridge year. The first 30 or so were shot at the Tuesday session and the others at the Thursday session. Many show competition winners receiving their prizes.

Album No 10 — Monday lessons — photos 681 to 742

These photos were all taken on Monday 30 November 2009. Beginners lessons are held every Monday morning. This was their final session of 2009. As the photos show, after a couple of enjoyable hours playing bridge there was a prize giving ceremony followed by a shared buffet lunch. Merry Christmas everyone!
