Our green house dormitories are re-purposed from actual green houses! Currently we are waiting for the plants and creepers to grow up inside the greenhouses to form a natural and living canopy. In the meantime layers of shade cloth provide shade from the sun. The green houses provide shelter from the elements with a sturdy concrete floor and water resistant blinds around the front, back and sides, like a giant tent. Each green house has a lockable metal cupboard for safekeeping of items. Each dorm also has lights and two plug points. Plywood walls separate each green house. Participants sleep on old-fashioned canvas beds. A cotton sleeping bag liner is provided for you to sleep in but bring your own pillow. As the sleeping bag liner is only a thin cotton cloth, if you need something warmer, bring your own blanket or sleeping bag.

At Earth Camp our bathrooms and toilets are re-purposed from polycarbonate water tanks. Each unit has either a sit-down toilet or a shower. We have cut a door in these tanks to provide a private bathroom that is easily kept clean and well ventilated. The doors are lockable from inside. Re-purposing is an off-shoot of re-cycling where items meant for one purpose are re-used for another, possibly better purpose. We chose to use the polycarbonate water tanks as they are highly UV-resistant and provide a minimalist solution to our bathroom needs for Earth Camp.

All dorms are fitted with taps and sinks so you don't have to step out to brush your teeth and wash your face
