Before.
Beginning the demolition. As I was taking this photo, the whole side wall fell out onto the bushes.
Once again, Minnie Francis' curtains come in handy for a purpose other than being curtains. Here Charlie had taped them to the inside door to keep the dust from getting inside.
I got pretty damp from working outside in the rain, but it was an awesome day for the demo work.
From the inside.
From the inside you can see the outside! You can also see that the rain has started.
Also taken from the inside.
Rarr! At this point I left for a Lowe's trip.
And when I came home the whole porch was gone.
Yay, a front porch!
As much as I hate the bushes, they did a great job of catching all the stuff that Charlie was knocking out.
Goodbye, awful green awning. Charlie cut it off with the saws-all.
Mopping the floor (finally!). The right side has been mopped, the left hasn't.
The far side has been mopped.
Termite damage that our termite inspector didn't find.
Attempt #2 at installing the door handle and lock. The door isn't finished being painted, but we needed to get it up before dark.
A clean front porch floor!
We have a front porch!
Here's a good shot of what the brick should look like, and what it looks like now. We'll be working on getting the green off.
And the other side.
The door from the inside.
After. Whoohoo! (Mostly) Finished!
The day the truck came to pick up the dumpster.
Way cool to watch.
