A church in the village of Oughterard.
Loved this.
The village park.
Made it out into the middle of the stream--so beastly.
Waterfall Way--this way to the waterfall!
water in motion
Waterfall Way again

Maggie made a friend
Shower up, boys.
The trail we wanted to take is right between the boat and the barbed wire fence.
We sprang through a pasture instead.
It wasn't as dry as expected.
The way out
slightly damp
The trail we had wanted to take
green!
An Irish winter
We made it to the lake and the pier--and boy, was it windy!
Follow the brown signs...

On the pier in Innishmore on the Aran Islands
The beginning of the walls
Rock formations along the seashore. There were seals off in the distance sunning themselves along here, but my camera didn't zoom enough to get a good view of them.
AWKWARD picture near the Bronze Age fort--notice the huge drop in the background.
Turbulent sea
meditation in the fort
the chevaux de frise--a defensive wall between the second and third walls of the fort that was made up of razor sharp limestone rocks
the flying buttresses of the fort were added in the 19th century
Which way to the tower? Wandering around in Gort

Trying to get to Coole Park via a field
Um, the road is gone...?
That, my dears, is the road.

Coole Park! We made it! Now where's the lake?
