Sigh. How I love my vase. I swear, sometimes flowers are the only thing that keep me sane around here.
Caitlin and her healthy snack.
I freakin' love these crackers. For serious.
On the train!
Some cute little church or another in Tarnow.
Statue.
Guess who made a new friend!
Tarnow streets! Amazing--and completely refreshing to get out of oh-so-busy Krakow.
Somehow this looks more like a sketch than a photograph to me. It was taken just by me fiddling around with the aperture a bit. I'll become “professional” yet, I guess...or just continue to overexpose all of my photographs. You decide. Still, somehow details emerge from this photo the longer and longer I look at it. It's...some kind of wonderful.
Part of the Tarnow main square.
The old Renaissance City Hall building--now a museum (which, true to Tarnow form, was closed).
This guy was fantastic. He fed the pigeons bread crumbs and then closed the window. This must be a habit, because the birds quickly began to beg at his closed window pane. He shook his head at them, adamantly refusing to shell out more. Apparently, nonverbal communication worked for the pigeons, because, eventually, they flew away.
de-nied.
Still trying for it...
I found this interesting, even if it turned out a little blurry.
There's so much reverence in Poland, anywhere and everywhere.
terrifying mannequin.
This menu was hilarious. I've never before sought an “unusual” experience in a restaurant, but after this, I was sold!
A moment before, an old woman asked this little girl--who was attempting to rollerblade in Fischer Price rollerblades on cobblestones, I might add--for direcitons. The girl's response? “Czesc“--the Polish word for “hey.”
Outside of the more touristy part of Tarnow.
Eastern Europe, eh?
The train station. Tarnow is a little over an hour away from Krakow--ideal for an afternoon away.
The End.
