The Colosseum!
We literally were just walking down the street and--holy crap!--there it was!
Excited tourist
Inside, and one of the only pictures we got of the two of us that someone else took. In typical fashion, Wade followed through with his most photogenic face ever.
This was about twelve minutes before a thunderstorm struck right over us and we had to run for cover.
Old stuff, as viewed from the Colosseum.
haha
The Flavian Amphitheater from within
The church at the top of the Spanish Steps.
Sampling the local products at a bar-restaurant that totally ripped us off.
I was foolish enough to order sausage on my pizza, which was a huge mistake because not only did it taste awful, but...
I was soon convinced, due to the paws still remaining, that it was not a pork-based meat product, but that that comes from rodents. Needless to say, my mousemeat pizza was left relatively unconsumed.
Senior pictures on Palatine Hill.
A more touristy take on a senior pic.
Ruins of a palace on Palatine Hill.
Timer shots!
uh...
happiness/pretending it was warmer out than it actually was...
crouching among some more old stuff!
Giving the ruins a thumbs-up!
Feet on thousand-year-old floor tiles.
Subtle humor has never been his strong suit.

Saying "waddup" to the Vatican
We Catholics sure know how to make a clear sign.
The Cathedral from within.
Candles near the altar
The wall that designates the border between the Vatican and Rome. Also, it was scaled expertly by Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 3.
Vespas!
Smart Cars!
Refreshments!
And then, we climbed the 450+ stairs up to the top of the dome...
creepy...
The dome of St. Peter's Cathedral, as designed by Michelangelo (but completed by some of his minions after his death).
Censored!
Finally, we made it out to the top! Looking down over the piazza.

Throwing coins into the Trevi Fountain, so we can come back to Rome.
(We threw pennies, by the way. God Bless the U.S.A.)

Creepiest picture EVER.
The Trevi at night. Bye-bye, Rome!
