Kashid is a 4 hour bus journey away from Thane. MSRTC has one of the world largest fleet of buses. The buses connect almost every village in Maharashtra. Unfortunately, the buses will not enamour you at all
Kashid beach is a clean, uncluttered beach. On weekdays, there are few people visiting. The beach is lined with a number of shacks which offer snacks and hammocks to rest.

Casurina groves line the sea shore. The trees grow to be 35m in height. Excellent light hitting the trees here.

Kashid beach is popular for its white sands. With amazing patterns strewn all over, the sand is really beautiful.

Where there are people, dogs cant be far off. They thrive essentially on left overs and generosity of animal lovers (like myself :-D). They are generally quite playful.
