Our goal was to take a nice drive into the country where colder weather and apple pie await. We also brought our cameras just in case we found an abandoned outhouse. (???)
So here's the outhouse. We just pulled over the side of the road and explored. Our treasure? An outhouse with nasty old doo doo inside! GROSS!
Here's Ms. K Gungon. She's so rad. She didn't plan on going to Julian, but took our offer last minute even though she wasn't prepared to dress warm. We were in 45 degree windy weather and she still rocked her slippers. Brrrrrrr!
Someone very heavy must have sat on this chair. Too much apple pie? Maybe the same person used the outhouse?
Ms. Flynn, our "gangsta" model.
Abandoned little house, cute little lady.
This is Crissy putting her new video app to use.
K needed some warmth, so she borrowed some of my socks.
Hot bread!
Mmmmmmm, hot cider hit the spot.
Crissy couldn't wait and burned her tongue off.
Hot meatball sammich, chicken rice soup, chili, and PB&J. A great appetizer to prepare our tummies for apple pie. Dudley's Bakery has always been the spot ever since I was super young, and that was quite some time ago : )
The classic sign shot. You gotta do it.
At least K is warmer now.
Antique store.
Crissy trying to catch a ride in something with some horse power.
Looks like she's gonna miss the bus!
These hats come with a Canadian accent, for free!
The most random display of Beanie Babies ever.
Our final destination..
Mom's, the bomb diggy apple pie spot.
The wait in line is worth it. You have time to decide what the heck you're gonna eat. Take it from a pro, you don't really need all that you want to order! One slice and one scoop is plenty...but hey, do yo thang!
Mission complete.
