Jenny Hansen and I catching up (in person) in Ogden after almost two years! My baby girl is still teaching me.
Morgan, me, and Tricia. Morgan and Tricia have been roommates for as long as all three of us have been friends: 6 years! Now Morgan is off for Phoenix and Tricia is moving houses, but it has been an impressive run and their apartment has always felt like home.
Spencer, Candace, and me at the Big Springs trail sign on our snowshoeing expedition. No one had gone snowshoeing except me, but they could have fooled me!
John Mahler, the man behind the camera and the photoshopping.
John and I enjoyed biscuits and good company during General Conference at Nick and Jess's home.
Studying at the library. Kind of but mostly. [Note: this picture was taken using my Mac camera, which creates mirror images of whatever is being photographed (left is right, right is left). Things are not always what they seem.]
John's brother Nathan helped me improve my image.
John loves deviled eggs. And scallions.
Food contributes to many of life's best memories. This concoction is a New Mexican stacked enchilada (with red sauce and a fried egg on top). John was very brave to try it.
John and I planned a hike up Stewart Falls with Nick and Jess, but unfortunately it snowed two feet in the mountains two days before.
We had fun anyway.
Nick kept finding all of the holes...
but we made it out alive (if very wet)
and found a fast way out!
John, me, Nick, and Jess. It's a good thing we take pictures of the front, because we all had very wet backsides.
Bridal Veil Falls.
John decided to try the water.
The wallet toss over the running water (and in front of the giant snow mound hanging over the falls).
Brrrrrh!
Spring finally came to BYU campus!
Half of the Mahler clan came into town for John's graduation. They make a mean sandwich AND play Settlers of Catan with a relish! (Nathan, Lori, and John's dad, Harry.)
Nathan, An Army of One.
John had a graduation cake with a lot of frosting. He had trouble with the frosting part, so I helped him.
More study time.
The frosting took revenge several days later.
Enjoying Provo while on an evening run. It's in motion!
My neighbors have a delightful sense of seasonal decorating. There's nothing quite like the smell of cut grass while lounging in a lawn chair with Christmas lights twinkling overhead.
Unless its Mikey and Minnie mouse caroling amongst the tulip beds.
A psychedelic shot on an evening stroll, but the warmth of the colors and the lovely couple shuffling along make it impossible not to share.
