2011-Interlaken

Dr. Hao visited Zurich for his first time. I took him to Interlaken and we went to Jungfrau, one of the best places to visit in Switzerland. From interlaken, we spent 2h30 on the mountain train, enjoyed the panorama view of Swiss landscape. The JungFrau train took us to the highest train station in Europe (About 3890 m). The train went through a tunnel which was built nearly 100 years ago.

2011-Emosson lake-Switzerland

Our infrastructure management group at institute of infrastructure and construction management organized a 2 days trip to see Emosson dam, which is located in the Canton of Vallis, Switzerland. Emosson dam was built for generating hydropower electricity. It is a shared resource between France and Switzerland. Now the electricity of Emosson is used for Lausanne and SBB (Swiss train company)

Climbing the Mont Charvin-France

Maki, Yukiko, Aya, and I climbed the mountain Charvin in France. The height of this mountain is slightly more than 2000 m above the sea level. It took about 2 hours by car from Geneva to this hiking point. From top of this mountain, we were able to see Mout Mont Blanc covered by snow.

2008-ISAMDW-Ho Chi Minh

These pics were taken on September, 2008 in Ho Chi Minh City, where our first International Seminar on Infrastructure Asset Management for Developing Countries was organized. The seminar welcomed some distingusted professors from Japan (Prof. Kiyoshi Kobayashi, Prof. Kaito) from the USA (Prof. Samer Madanat ) and Malaysia.
