A view of a beautiful small town in the Czech Republic as we passed by in the bus.
Disney Champagne? Only in Europe...
Apparently this is the way to take these shots in the Czech Republic. The bus driver said so...
And of course, an Absinth shop. Not shown, is a picture of me having my first shot of absinth, or the dancing that followed it.
"The Dancing House" as designed by Czech architect Vlado Milunic.
My room in Prague. Small, but cleaned each day and shared with a great roommate!
Where we ate our first dinner in Prague!
It seemed that this is the no smoking symbol in Prague.
Gotta try the Czech beer!
My dinner.
My dessert....later we learned that we would have some sort of apple strudel at almost every meal!
A fancy lampost (of which there were a number more).
A view across the river from the charles bridge in Prague.
The main shopping street in Prague. I took this picture after getting lost on my own on the first night and wandering onto this road. Not a bad road to find when lost if you ask me!
The Czech National Museum.
The Astronomical Clock Tower.
Another view of the clock tower on town square.
Yes, they have the kind of guards that do not move, at all. Except that I saw this one move his eyes to check out one of the girls in our group who had taken a picture next to him. I guess they are still human after all...
My friend, Julienne, decided that it would be my job to take "artsy" photos of her. Hope she's happy!
oh the joys of touring and tons of faces looking the same way.
The supposedly suggestive knocker that Rick Steves suggested to give a good rubbing and knocking.
My sweet friend sir knight!
Flying Pig Restaraunt!!!! What...?
A very small house/building and door.
I'm not sure what this... It made me think of all the beggars in prague that tend to kneel like this while begging.
The Prague guards put on a show for us.
Claimed to be the smallest full orchestra in Europe.
A view from the gardens just north of the city. There were so many amazing views from here!
I just loved the greenness of the leaves covering this tower.
One of our tour guides for the three days.
My photography partner for the trip. There were only 3 of us with SLRs.
At the Waldenstein Palace in Prague
Mmm Tasty! The photo of me and my treat is unfortunately not in this album, because it is, understandably, on his camera!
A lot of places everywhere we go claim to have housed Beethoven or Mozart at some point.
Is there room for one more song?
Along the John Lennon Wall
The John Lennon wall
Our tour guide....giving us a tour!
Sara was not aware of my phototaking moment.
Quality music, everywhere!
The tower at the end of the Charles Bridge.
Oh yeah...haha.
The tower again.
Down a Prague street. One thing of difference that I noticed here...is that there are not so many street lights. There are many corners with no lights or stop signs at all! Never ran into any trouble with it though...not sure how it works.
The salad before lunch.
This is the kind of awesome thing that happens when a small building is labeled historical and is kept, while all the land around it is modernized.
Another thing that I found found in every city in Europe...although always with different wording. What are the Z and D here...?
IT was SOO awesome to find a Mobius Strip!
And KFC reigns supreme all over Europe...
Thanks to Jessica for suggesting this photo-op. This is an undergound tunnel to enter the grounds of an old Prague castle.
There were a few teenagers (in this picture just one) trying to run and jump up and over the wall.
Absolutely beautiful scenery!
Czech out the money symbol on the door....
Of course, we had to try a jumping picture!
I managed to pluck (well, more like knock down) this fresh apple from a tree in the park!
A random, live band performance on the side of the road.
Sunset in Prague over Manés Bridge.
The concert house in Prague.
The inside of the concert house in Prague, where they boasted that Mozart played on this very Organ!
A random rocker to a random band just outside of the concert hall!
So this maybe has to do with why european students are learning more languages and are better at science? Even advertisements are learning-friendly here?
The sweet restaurant we ate dinner at.
The club area of the restaurant we had dinner at.
The next few pictures are all of our clubbing experience in Prague on the 2nd night. I swear, I did not have my camera out for most of the time there...
Advertisements aimed at the young classical crowd! If only the crowd were large enough in America too...
Our tour guide taking us down a small street.
Breathtaking.
Ok, no, I didn't take this exactly, but this was an awesome picture in a random collection of a free endangered animals exhibit just on a Prague street outside the metro!
A marketplace in Old Town Prague
Yes, that is a statue of a man hanging from a pole off the top of a building!
I can't believe I actually got to see a guy playing the Hurdy Gurdy! Awesome! Too bad he didn't seem too excited I was taking a picture...
The stairs to the top of the tower at the Old Town Square.
An interesting way at bike tours of the city...
A group giving out FREE HUGS!!!
In front of Prague's Astronomical Clock.
This is where I ate my afternoon snack (salmon-spinach lasagna!)
