2008-05-05 - Relief measures taken in Nargis-hit areas
4-May-2008 - There were losses, damages and casualities in some places of Yangon Division, Ayeyawady Division, Bago Division, Mon State and Kayin State that were hit by the severe cyclonic storm (Nargis). The National Disaster Preparedness Central Committee led by Prime Minister General Thein Sein are supervising the tasks for clearing the debris, restoration of power and water supply, communications and transport, reopening of motor roads and rail roads and relief measures in Yangon Division and other states and divisions.
