While the world's finest athletes wrangled for medals in Athens, our finest dancers, still waiting for their event to be included at the Olympics, battled it out at Monash University. 64 competitors from MUDC and MDS filled the floor, some of them competing in more than one of the 18 events.
It's exciting and satisfying to come away with medals at the end of the night, but those who didn't, take heart — as long as the event pushed you to keep bettering yourself, it was all worth it. It's not like it's the Olympics — there's always next year.
